How Hemanth Found His Future at Elevated Life Leadership Boys Home

Elevated Life Boys Leadership Home.commenced in 2012. That very same year,
a six-year-old boy named Hamenth walked through their doors.
A Vulnerable Beginning
In 2012, Hamanth’s world was fragile. His father had passed away, and his grieving mother was trapped in severe poverty, unable to afford to feed him or send him to school. When he arrived at the boys home, he was just six years old, hungry, scared, and unable to read or write.
Suddenly, Hamenth had a clean bed, fresh clothes, and three nutritious meals a day. But he also had a mountain to climb academically.
The home provided a dedicated tutor to help catch up. Slowly, the fear melted away. The strangers became his brothers, and the caretakers became his family. Hamenth discovered a love for school, a passion for music through drum lessons, and a fierce love for sports, spending his afternoons playing cricket and soccer under the guidance of John Peter, the educational and activities coordinator.

Year after year, Hamenth didn't just pass his exams; he excelled. The boy who couldn't read at age six was transforming into a brilliant young student. His exceptional marks eventually earned him a spot at a private college for Years 11 and 12.
Hemanth’s dedication never wavered. He passed his higher secondary education with flying colours, achieving marks high enough to unlock the doors of higher education. He chose to pursue a career in medicine, enrolling in a three-year Medical Lab Technician (MLT) course at Thagarapuvalasa University.
In March 2026, Hamenth sat for his final university exams.
Paying It Forward: A Leader is Born
Today, Hamenth is a resilient, focused 21-year-old university graduate. Having finished his MLT course, he still lives
at the Elevated Life Boys Leadership Home as he looks to advance his studies even further.
But his story is no longer just about his own success. The little boy who once needed a helping hand has become the hand that guides others.
At Elevated Life, the mission is to raise compassionate leaders, and Heamanth is the living proof of that vision. He now steps up to mentor, tutor, and guide the younger boys in the home. Some as young as six years old, standing exactly where Hemanth stood fourteen years ago. He shows them that they, too, have a chance at a bright future.
