Urgent Need
Providing Clean Water & Safe Havens No mother should have to choose between her safety and her family's thirst. Yet, in impoverished tribal communities, women walk kilometers to polluted water holes, deeply fearful of being attacked on the journey. We change this reality by drilling deep water wells in central, secure village locations. This ensures that every family has access to safe, clear drinking water without putting the women and girls of the community in harm's way.
Health, Hygiene, and Saving Little Lives The tragic reality of unsafe water and poor sanitation is that the youngest suffer the most. When children are exposed to contaminated water and lack basic hygiene facilities, they battle repeated infections, intestinal parasites, and chronic inflammation. This doesn't just cause illness; it leads to severe anemia, delayed development, and heartbreaking childhood mortality rates. Through comprehensive sanitation education, we are fighting back against preventable diseases and giving these
children the healthy start they deserve.
Andhra Pradesh is a severely drought-prone region where the burden of collecting water falls disproportionately on women and children. Every day, they are forced to walk up to 10 kilometres just to gather water that is often dirty and unsafe. This makes the water crisis not just a public health issue, but a major barrier to economic growth and gender equality. By building clean water wells in the centre of these villages, everything changes: health drastically improves, children can return to school, and women finally have the time to earn an income.
